Dear Colleagues,

The Department of Rural Development (DRD), jointly with the World Bank Group will conduct Public Consultations around the draft Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) for the additional financing of the Myanmar National Community Driven Development (NCDD) Project. A draft ESMF was prepared to explain the environmental and social assessment processes and related safeguard policies to be followed for investments financed under the NCDD Project. The ESMF provides a general options impact analysis with environmental and social criteria and an overall assessment on how to mitigate and monitor possible environmental and social effects associated with the project. In accordance with our practice, DRD would like to invite you to participate in a discussion around the draft ESMF and to seek your views and input. These meetings will be held at below venues;
