NCCDP encourages gender equality and women’s empowerment through the following requirements.

• Gender balance is required for village support committee (50:50)
• Each of the sub committees include men and women
• One male and one female are head of the project support committee
• At lease one sub project per village tract is suggested by a women group and should be implemented every year
• Equal pay for equal work
• Gender mainstreaming in every stage of the project
