CDD Project Socialization Workshop in Phruso Township,Kayah State

CDD Project Socialization Workshop was held at Taw Win Thazin Hall of Basic Education High School, Phruso Township, Kayah State at 9 am on 15 July, 2015. The project was implemented by the Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries and Rural Development and funded by the World Bank.

Deputy Director General U Hla Thein Aung (DRD-Head Office), Director U Kyaw Swar Aung and Assistant Director U Win Min Htun, State,District and Township DRD officials, other government officers, District Administrative Officer, Township Administrative Officer, Village Administrative Officer and village headman, responsible officers from Non-Government Organizations, political parties, media, committee members to support development, City elders and other invitees were in attendances. (Over 400 total attendances to the meeting).

At the workshop State Socialeconomic Administration Minister U Tawt Rel and Deputy Director General U Hla Thein Aung and World Bank representative U Kyaw Soe Lin addressed the opening speech and explained that there are many projects with State financial fund and the projects financed by the foreign assistance; he encouraged the public to participate and corporate in implementing the project in Phruso Township so that the community and their village will be developed.

Then, U Kyaw Swar Aung ( Director for the Department of Rural Development) explained the project implementation process in details and the contents of the project handbook. At the same time, the attendees asked the questions and responsible officers from the Department of Rural Development answered all the questions.

At the second session of the meeting,  U Win Min Htun (Assistant Director for the Department of Rural Development) explained the more detailed process about the implementation of project cycle such as organization of committees, financial account, project features and project objectives and so on and the attendees asked the questions and responsible officers Director U Kyaw Swar Aung and Assistant Director U Win Min Htun answered these questions. As final conclusion, Kayah State Director U Myo Thein gave a thank you speech, addressed the closing speech and the meeting ended.
