The Department of Rural Development is pleased to invite you to participate in the sixth annual union level Review Meeting of the National Community Driven Development Project (NCDDP) in Nay Pyi Taw on 8 October 2019. The union level review meeting will be held at the MGallery Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw. The objective of the meeting is to provide an open forum for all stakeholders to review experiences from the sixth project cycle and to design next year, the seventh project cycle.

This event will bring together over 250 participants, including township and union level project staff, civil society groups, government officials, and development partners.

Implemented by the Department of Rural Development, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, NCDDP aims to enable poor rural communities to benefit from improved access to and use of basic infrastructure and services through a people-centered approach and to enhance the Government’s capacity to respond promptly and effectively to an eligible crisis or emergency.

Since its inception in 2013, the NCDDP has financed over 6,626 sub-projects worth 30110.01 million MMK in six community cycles, benefiting some 6.5 million people in fifty-four rural townships.
