Why gender aspects are integrated in the NCDDP?

NCDDP aims to enable poor rural communities to benefit from improve access to and use of basic infrastructure and services through a people-centered approach and to enhance the capacity. Therefore, it is also an important to include gender perspectives in the process.

This is because consideration of gender perspectives in the implementation of basic infrastructure development is still need to improve. Since people who use those infrastructures are children, elderly and disabled including male and female, planning and implementation should be based on their needs. It is necessary to get equal rights between men and women in decision-making and consideration of different perceptions.
